I grew up surrounded by rugs, yarn, colors, and the quiet rhythm of handmade work. I watched skilled hands turn simple materials into something warm and lasting. Over the years, that family craft became part of who I am.
Today, I carry that tradition forward through 70retro, where traditional craftsmanship meets contemporary design.

Every 70retro rug is hand tufted and finished by skilled women artisans who work alongside me in our studio. A rug may begin as a simple sketch, but it passes through many hands before it reaches your home. We prepare the design, choose the colors and materials, hand tuft the rug, carve and trim the surface by hand, finish the backing, and inspect every piece before it leaves our studio.
You may notice a slight difference in texture, a tiny shift in color, or a subtle variation in the carving. We don't hide these details. We celebrate them. They are proof that a real person made your rug.
