This blush peach rug is hand tufted in 100% NZ wool, with mustard yellow dots gathered in soft clusters across a modern abstract pattern. I clip around each dot by hand so it sits at its own height above the plush cut pile, and I make every rug to order in whatever size your room needs.

PERFECT FOR
Put it at the foot of a bed in a room full of white linen and pale wood, and suddenly the whole space feels warmer. It also sits well under a coffee table in a living room with cream or caramel sofas, and the peach softens a home office without making it feel fussy. If you like layering, it looks good over a larger jute or flatweave base rug. In a nursery or kids’ room it’s soft enough for floor play.

CARE
Vacuum it regularly, but switch the beater bar off. A plain suction head is all you need. You’ll see some fluff for the first few weeks; that’s normal for a new wool area rug and it settles down. If something spills, blot it straight away rather than rubbing. For anything deep or stubborn, a professional rug cleaner is your best bet.

THE HONEST BITS
• This is an indoor rug only. Keep it out of bathrooms, laundry rooms and anywhere damp, because the latex backing doesn’t like moisture.
It isn’t reversible.
• Colours can look a little different on your screen than in person, and handmade sizes can vary slightly.
• No two dots come out exactly the same, and the clusters land a touch differently on every rug. That’s the hand-clipping, not a fault.
• The higher pile can catch on pet claws, and the pale peach shows marks more than a darker rug would.

GIFTING
On the frame, before it’s sheared, this rug looks like a field of fuzzy mustard bubbles. It only really comes together once we trim it, which is part of why it makes such a good gift to unwrap.
